Zakiya Worthey
Founder and CEO
Zakiya L. Worthey is the CEO of K. Lamb LLC, a consulting company that provides strategic business planning, workplace culture and organizational consulting, diversity, equity and inclusion competencies, political services and change management best practices and techniques.
Ms. Worthey honed her consulting skills as a federal consultant working with various governmental agencies. She provided strategic change management support to assist the government with streamlining all aspects of procuring government contracts and assistance. She contributed project management support to a multitude of projects in order to revolutionize business operating procedures and chart the way forward through simplifying processes and improving overall efficiencies.
Ms. Worthey also has extensive experience working with workplace culture and organizational consulting. She works directly with the CEO to identify the needs of the organization and curate tailored solutions that achieve desired results. She utilizes best practices for diversity, equity and inclusion to transform waning systems into beneficial structures where people are invested in supporting one another as well as the overall mission. Ms. Worthey takes her passion for combining consulting and counseling to the next level, in order to help improve the energy and space within respective organizations.
Ms. Worthey holds a Master of Arts in Community Agency Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She is also active in the community where she serves as Director of Advocacy for Black Parents of Arlington. She serves on the board of directors for Arlington Independent Media; was appointed to the Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Commission; and is a member of the Restorative Justice Arlington Schools Working Group. She was also chosen for Leadership Arlington class of 2021.
